THE LOCATION
THE HISTORICAL BAR
For over 25 years, the cellar of Türmlihuus has served Winterthur's students, particularly those from the Technikum, as a student bar.
Until March 2015, the then Brainstorm-Bar was part of Alias (then VSZHAW). Since then, Türmli-Bar has become an independent association. Both the board and team contribute their time on a voluntary basis.
Even as the name of the bar changed, the concept remained the same: a relaxed atmosphere, cold beer, and unbeatable prices.
In the past, the bar only opened every other week, but since the founding of the association in 2015, it has been open every Thursday during the semester.
Additional events are sometimes organized in collaboration with the Alias association - students from ZHAW, theater groups, or the Frackwochen committee. The bar's premises are also rented out to external parties.
THE SEASON
The Türmlibar is always open on Thursday during the ZHAW Semester. Sometimes we have special program and are therefore opened differently.

Happy Hour is from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm, meaning 2 for 1 on beer and wine.
On some evenings, we offer programs such as live music, a quiz show, or a beer pong tournament.
Outside of regular opening hours, we also host events such as theater sports or parties in collaboration with Alias or Frackwoche.
SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL DEALER
We are strong proponents of the philosophy "Support your local dealer" and believe that we not only are a part of the city's culture but also must actively promote it.
That's why we serve locally brewed beer from Stadtguet Brewery, and other beverages are sourced through Hako. Anyone claiming that Stadtguet and Hako aren't part of the city's culture is missing out.
